Former Mets acting GM Zack Scott acquitted of DUI charges

NEW YORK (AP) — Former New York Mets acting general manager Zack Scott was acquitted Thursday of drunken-driving charges stemming from his arrest last August after he attended a fundraiser at team owner Steve Cohen’s house, his attorney announced.

Bucks waive veteran center DeMarcus Cousins

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Bucks waived DeMarcus Cousins on Thursday, a little over a month after signing the veteran center.

Milwaukee had until Friday to decide whether to guarantee his contract for the rest of the season or waive him.

Bucs make it official: terminate Antonio Brown’s contract

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially severed ties with Antonio Brown, terminating the contract of the mercurial receiver while also contradicting the player’s claim that he was fired in the middle of a game for not playing through an ankle injury.

Mavs retire Nowitzki’s 41 after win over Curry, Warriors

Adams could break Nelson’s Packers mark for yards receiving

Davante Adams was a rookie with the Green Bay Packers in 2014 when Jordy Nelson set the franchise’s single-season record for yards receiving.

Seven years later, Adams appears on the verge of shattering his former teammate’s record.

Adams heads into the Packers’ final regular-season game with 1,498 yards receiving. He needs just 21 more to match Nelson’s 2014 total of 1,519.
